Le Jumbo - Col de Gentians - Verbier Yesterday I finally finished this watercolour, indian ink and coloured pencil drawing of Le Jumbo. Le Jumbo is a gondola that takes skiers and walkers from Mont Fort to Col des Genetianes in the Swiss Alps. I love the angles and bold colours of the engineering and also love the flora and fauna in this beautiful area. Knitted girls' hooded Gillet
More and more, I find myself making things because I enjoy being creative rather than making them to sell. I spent several months knitting this hooded gillet for my daughter. The wool was made made of chenille and not the easiest to knit with as it seemed to stick to the needles. It was easier when I started using symphony circular interchangeable needles but I also manged to break them as they were wooden! It was only my second time of following a knitting pattern so there

Winter forest -Ethical Greeting Card
Yesterday I painted a new design for my greetings cards that are ethically printed on demand. It was painted with many layers of thick pigmented watercolours. I was inspired by our recent winter solstice and now the nights are drawing out again. Click on the product above to purchase your card - there are 3 different sizes.

Girl's halter neck dress
Last week I made a halter neck dress for my daughter to wear at her school Christmas dinner. She had wanted me to make this design of dress for awhile. The material is a poly cotton mix and the back is fastened with hooks and eyes behind the heart shaped buttons to stop it from opening. I also made a couple of small cushions with the off cuts.

Carole arrived with 2 unfinished artworks which she wanted to get finished but wasn't sure how to. In the first painting of her son on the beach, it was a case of adjusting the horizon line, adding depth to the clo

(IM)MATERIAL
Admiralty Arch embroideries I'm delighted to be showing 2 artworks at Bobcat Gallery, Putney for their (IM)MATERIAL exhibition 6-24th Januray 2026. Admiralty Arch and St James' Park are embroideried on tracing paper and explore the way that we navigate our way through the city where we are often bombarded with images, symbols and noises. The private view will be held from 6-8pm on 8th January, all are welcome!

Why am I writing this blog?
This time a year ago, I moved from Switzerland back to the UK and have spent the last year trying to find a permanent home and one area of work to focus on. The permanent home, although it took 6 months, has been resolved. However, trying to find one area to focus on has not been successful. I realized I am not just one thing! There are many components that make up who I am. Sometimes, in the middle of a creative flow, this is brilliant. Other times, it is very frustrating as
