Dressmaking

More and more, I find myself making things because I enjoy being creative rather than making them to sell. I spent several months knitting this hooded gillet for my daughter. The wool was made made of chenille and not the easiest to knit with as it seemed to stick to the needles. It was easier when I started using symphony circular interchangeable needles but I also manged to break them as they were wooden! It was only my second time of following a knitting pattern so there

Last week I made a halter neck dress for my daughter to wear at her school Christmas dinner. She had wanted me to make this design of dress for awhile. The material is a poly cotton mix and the back is fastened with hooks and eyes behind the heart shaped buttons to stop it from opening. I also made a couple of small cushions with the off cuts.
