More and more, I find myself making things because I enjoy being creative rather than making them to sell. I spent several months knitting this hooded gillet for my daughter. The wool was made made of chenille and not the easiest to knit with as it seemed to stick to the needles. It was easier when I started using symphony circular interchangeable needles but I also manged to break them as they were wooden! It was only my second time of following a knitting pattern so there are definitely some mistakes! The plush lining was not part of the pattern but as I had made a size up, it seemed like a good idea to make it extra snug. I may add some pockets in due course.
