Lac des Vaux, Verbier, Switzerland - graphite drawing

Lac des Vaux is one of several lakes up in the high mountains above Verbier in Switzerland. The water from the lake flows all the way down to Verbier and then continues to the valleys. It’s a lovely linear walk starting from Les Ruinettes over the Col des Mines and on to Savoleyre. I am greatly inspired by Japanese printmaking and use woodless graphite pencil to emphasise the blocks of pattern and refections made on the surface of the water.
